about us
Welcome to Fab-à-la-carte. À la carte represents the beautiful freedom to select distinct, individual pieces that speak directly to your soul, allowing you to curate an artistic environment entirely your own. Fab signifies the two core pillars of this creative world: Fabric (the tactile, fibrous realm of textiles) and Fabulous illustration. Rather than a rigid commercial catalog, this is a singular space where a lifetime of masterful textile design expertise and original illustration seamlessly collide to create one-of-a-kind art.

A Pioneering Journey in Textile Design: A 30-Year Legacy.
Founded by Hoodie Crescent, a prominent textile designer with a legacy spanning over 30 years, she has walked the cutting edge of the industry as a true brand pioneer. Her fabric designs have been sold worldwide, and her journey as an artist has been featured in three major newspapers, as well as numerous specialized books and design magazines. Furthermore, she has been actively showcasing her work at major quilt shows for over 15 years, earning prestigious awards for her exceptional quilt creations. While she once sought to transition fully into pure illustration, the profound, tactile pull of textiles ultimately drew her back to merge both worlds.
The Value of Our Art: One-of-a-Kind & Finite
The textile arts and creations presented in this shop are not mass-produced commercial items or fashion templates—they are deeply personal works of fine art rooted in conceptual depth (Art is Concept).
Our bespoke kimono creations are crafted exclusively from carefully curated personal collections and cherished vintage kimonos that have been meticulously unraveled. Because of this dedicated process, every piece is strictly limited in availability. Transforming beloved, irreplaceable materials into new, elevated artistic treasures is a signature vision unique to this studio. We are deeply honored to share these limited, high-value creations with you.
